SoftChalk is a powerful content authoring tool that allows educators to easily create engaging, professional looking lessons for their e-learning or smart classroom. Educators are happy with the professional, sophisticated content they can quickly create, while students love the interactive, engaging lessons.
Through our work with faculty, we found that although educators desire to create sophisticated, interactive content, they typically do not have the time to learn html or complicated authoring tools. SoftChalk provides educators an easy way to move beyond the static lesson content found in most on-line courses. The lessons can be placed on a school server, burned to a CD, or packaged for delivery in a Learning Management System.
Students find the lessons more engaging and interactive and educators have found that SoftChalk reinforces student learning. The lessons created are customizable with a variety of learning objects to meet the needs of different audiences, age groups, and learning styles. The learning objects available include text, images, embedded media, pop-up text annotations, self-check comprehension questions and Flash-based activities such as dragNdrop matching, crosswords, interactive image maps and more.
