How do I incorporate my Camtasia video into a lesson?

With Camtasia Studio 5 when you create a video, you produce one .swf file. You can insert this .swf file into your lesson using one of the methods below:

Choose Insert/Media. Select Flash. Click Select file and select the .swf file and click Select. (You may need to add values for the width and height.) Click OK.

Select some text. Right-click and choose Hyperlink. Click Select file and select the .swf file and click Select. Select Open in a new window. Click OK.

If you have interactivity with your video (or want to constrain the size of the video), you may want to use the method below:
Let's say you have two Camtasia videos.

The first produced Camtasia video is in a folder called test1 which includes the following files:
test1.html
test1.swf
ProductionInfo.xml
swfobject.js

The second produced Camtasia video is in a folder called test2 which includes the following files:
test2.html
test2.swf
ProductionInfo.xml
swfobject.js

STEPS:

Create a SoftChalk lesson called tutorials.

Quit SoftChalk.

Copy the above two folders (test1 and test2) into your tutorials lesson folder.

Start SoftChalk and open your tutorials lesson.

Type Test1 Video and select this text.

Right-click and choose Hyperlink.

In the URL box, type test1/test1.html.

Repeat the same process for the Test2 video using test2/test2.html for the URL.

FYI, with SoftChalk Version 4, when you package your lesson, all the folders inside the lesson become part of the zip file.
